Digestive Fire or Agni for Boosting Immunity

Agni, is vital to true health as immunity is absolutely influenced by the power of agni in our system, which enables our digestive system to digest, assimilate, and absorb nutrients in the body. When agni is impaired by an imbalance of vata, pitta and kapha doshas, the metabolism gets affected. This results in compromising the immune response and natural resistance.

When this happens excess ama (stored toxins) is formed and leads to a toxic environment in the body. Toxins  interferes with the natural intelligence of each cell which is encoded with a will to live, be healthy, and work together as a whole, communicating with other cells of the body. Sipping hot water, or ginger tea throughout the day boosts agni.

Detoxification Essential for Improving Immunity

Indigestion and ama (toxin) formation prevent nutrients absorption by the tissues in our body and therefore weakens immune function. Ama can be created from both physical and mental states. Even negative thought can lead to toxic formation. When toxins are accumulated, the body becomes a fertile ground for parasites to settle in our body. Therefore eating sattvic food and thinking positive thoughts will cut down toxins in our body and boost immune system

How to mark the improving immunity?

You can say that immunity is improved if:

  • Wounds heal faster
  • Feel less tired
  • Less prone to infections and cold or flu
  • Feeling of overall well-being.

Can natural herbs be ignored, when they help the body in so many useful ways? Developing strong immunity is not far away with siddha herbs.
