Acupuncture is one of the famous ancient Chinese therapies which have been practiced since eons. It is a minimally invasive procedure where tiny needles are inserted at specific points called ‘acupoints’ on the patient’s body to stimulate those points through application of heat or penetration of thin needles.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, by stimulating these points, the imbalance in the flow of qi / chi/ prana (life energy) is corrected. Our body has several acupuncture points on the meridians through which vital energy (life force) flows, according to the ancient theory. Modern day researchers are proving the scientific validity of Acupuncture.

It is prominently used for relieving pain and in alleviating nausea caused by chemotherapy and even migraine prophylaxis. Acupuncture is also believed to mediate nerves and muscle tissue which turns out beneficial effects on health. It proves beneficial in treating migraine, neuralgias, paralysis, fatigue, arthritis, pain rehab, etc.

According to World Health Organization (WHO), acupuncture is an effective medicine for treating almost 28 conditions.

What is Naturopathy?

(Naturopathy is an ancient pseudoscientific kind of medicine, which stands on a belief that a special energy called vital energy or vital force regulates bodily processes including metabolism, reproduction, growth, and adaptation.)

Naturopathy is a system of Healing through five elements of nature - earth, water, fire, ether and air. They are used in the form of food therapy (correct diet and nutrition), hydrotherapy, manipulative therapies to correct blood flow, yoga and meditation along with rest and sleep. These therapies are utilized to make life style changes through which a person is able to restore the vital balance of the body, mind and soul. Mahatma Gandhi propagated Naturopathy for its simple therapies, and chemical free and cost-effective approach.

Naturopathy is validated scientifically through research, to heal a person without chemicals. It is a system which considers the ‘complete person’ and not just symptoms. It focuses on healing the person from within. Since there are no side effects, it is gaining importance in the present day, with more people willing to go the naturopathic path, to cure/ prevent diseases with nature’s intervention.
