    Depending on your age and duration of symptom the cause may vary. You need to get your complete blood picture, including platelet count and clotting and coagulation times. You also need Liver Function Tests. You may also require bone marrow and serum cortisol levels tested.

    Bruises can be from multiple causes. it also depends on the part of the body you notice them. It also depends on the medications you might be taking, if any.
    We tend to bruise easy with age because blood vessels are weak. Simple vitamin C deficiency can causing bruising. you might notice bleeding gums with Vitamin C problems . this one is easy solution to fix - taking Vit C or eating Citrus fruits.
    The next problems could problems in blood like having low platelets. Low platelets are cells in our blood that help clotting the blood. This can be diagnosed by blood test.
    Next are rare causes called collagen vascular disorders. These are difficult to diagnose at times
