Mucus is a produced by intestinal mucosa for lubrication. If mucus is present in stools it may be because of varied reasons ranging from infections/inflammation to cancer / obstruction or it may be irritable bowel syndrome. Exact cause of this mucus in stools has to be made out for management accordingly. Please see your doctor for diagnosis and management.

You have diarrhea since 3m, diabetes mellitus and obesity. Your BMI is 28.6 and ideal weight is 172 lbs (actual = 205 lbs). There is urgency and mucous in stools. You want to know whether Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a possibility. Altough, IBS is a possibility, there is no history of loss of weight (infact there is history of obesity). Probably, there is diet related stress caused by diabetes mellitus.  You need to identify diet factors that do not suit you and avoiding them might control your diarrhea.
