    Hi,

Irregular periods may be because of on and off use of contraception and may also be because of PCOS. Please get investigated for PCOS and take proper treatment if it is there. Also many liver conditions might cause irregular menses. Please consult your doctor.

Hi, chances of PCOS are higher if you had irregular menstrual cycles before going on contraceptive pills. Other features of PCOS are excessive body hair, weight gain and inability or delay in conceiving. If you do not have any of the features mentioned above, then it is likely due to irregular use of the pills. Correlation with sexual stimulation could be related to the effect of sexual stimulation on vaginal secretions and uterine contractions. Hope this helps in relieving your anxiety. Definitive of ruling out PCOS is by getting an ultrasound if the pelvis.
