hi dr I have a white spot on my tongue the tip of my tongue it hurts when it rubs off on my teeth and it stings I think it's a swollen taste bud. but it dosent hurt when I eat is this a std or something - Asked by M s on 11-Nov-2015 08:54:33

    no its not std just get yourself examined by a ent surgeon

    It's possibly not an std, it could be a fungal infection or could be an ulcer due to vitamin deficiency, you can try using Candid Mouth Paint, Zytee gel (apply on the lesion) , Listerine mouth wash gargles. Take lots of fruits, vegetables (vitamin rich diet) , if it doesn't come down, you can see an ENT doctor for further advice
