    Hi,

    I guess you need to discuss this with your school counsellor. Usually it is about 5y course and it may not be difficult if you are interested.

Heres the information you might find useful; You should contact individual dental schools for their exact requirements for admissions, but is essential to plan at least a year in advance. You can search online for a list of dental schools. ( You need to send your DAT score) You need to spend a minimum of four years of study in the university to get a doctors degree in dental surgery or dental medicine. You also need to have completed three years of college before joining dental school. The best things in life do not come easily and dentistry is no exception! Becoming a dentist requires dedication and compassion towards people; and since a lot of them come to you in pain, you need to demonstrate a genuine willingness to help them out. The dental journey has its own rewards, the best of the latest technology, medical and aesthetic worlds; is a noble and unique profession where you can have a creative outlet, be self employed and a well-balanced lifestyle.

    Hi

    In countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore :

    After completing high school, a dental aptitude test is compulsory;

    a predental course in college of 1 to 3 years duration needs to be completed before joining university.

    A university degree in dental surgery / dental medicine requires 4 years of study.

    In India, after completing high school, you can straightaway join a BDS degree program that  involves 4 years of study and 1 year internship.

    Dentistry is a precise science and an artistic profession that demands complete involvement in the well-being of others.

    Good communication skills are essential for success in this field. If you have these qualities, you will enjoy being a dentist !

    The rewards, respect and high value in society for a dental career, far outweigh the difficulties during your training period !
