I'm an 18 year old female who's suffered from slow bowel movements for about 4 years. I incorporate a good serving of fruits, vegetables, fibre and even take a probiotic supplement. I'm overweight though BMI index says otherwise. I only do cardio once a week for exercise (about 1/1.5 hrs) and sleep is not so easy. Could this (sleep and excercise) be why my bowels are slow? or is there something else to consider? Thanks. - Asked by F S on 02-Jun-2014 15:56:10

    Sleep and exercise are essential for healthy life. You need to exercise atleast 45 mts. each day (preferably  not after food) for relaxation. Usually calsium causes constipation and avoid any pills that have this. Try take plenty water along with fruits and salads. If necessary get a thyroid evaluation.
