My brother in law, 38 years old is suffering from severe pain in the back/waist area for over two years now. His latest MRI report has this to say: "Early degenerative spondyloarthropathic changes with diffuse disc bulge at L4-5 level with mild indentation upon the bilateral L5 nerve roots and minor diffuse asymmetric disc bulge (R>L) at L5-S1 level, mildly indenting upon the right S1 nerve root. Mild to moderate bilateral L3-L4, L4-L5 and left L5-S1 facetal arthropathy with associated ligamentum flavum thickening. - Asked by s x on 10-Aug-2016 23:12:13

    Hi,,

    consult neurosurgeon he will decide whether you need surgery  

    mean while give some rest,,use L.S belt,,physiotherapy, if severe enough use pain killers

    Hi i wanted to know if your back pain radiates down to your legs if it is radiating you need to see a neurosurgeon otherwise just go in for physio back flexion excercises and local ultrasonic massage should help a lot and also please modify your posture when u bend down bend your knees also - take care
