My Mother aged 72 years (weight 82 Kgs) since 4 / 5 months is suffering from severe pain from low hip region extending to feet with burning sensation and unable to balance once she is getting up from lying position. The pain goes off after few minutes once she is lying on the bed and sits in a chair. also not able to Walk properly. So far she is diagnosed as sciatica and using the medicines in Ayurveda and for few days NSAIDs with diclofenac patches and other calcium supplements. she is not having diabetes or BP.     If she has been diagnosed with sciatica and still has pain i would suggest it would be best for her to see a neurosurgeon
