on Sunday I went to the ER for pelvic pain. they did a pelvic exam and took urine. they told me in the hospital everything came back fine. today I received a phone call from the health department saying I tested positive for a bacteria. she couldn't tell me what it was over the phone. she said I need to be seen to get a shot. she asked me if they started me on Macrobid which they didn't. what could this be?     it can be urinary tract infection or pelvic inflammatory disease,u need to worry taking course it can be reduced

thanks! I found out I have gonorrhea. my husband has tested negative but I tested positive and have pelvic pain. I haven't been with anyone but my husband. my husband hasn't been with anyone either and we haven't had sex in so long. How could I have gotten this? I'm really confused.

    you can become infected with gonorrhoea if you come into contact with infected semen or infected discharge from the vagina, throat or rectum.

    The infection is most commonly spread through:unprocted vaginal,anal.or oral sex,,

    dont worry it can be treated with antibiotics..

thank you. I got a shot and took an antibiotic with it. I was also given meds for pid if I have it. I'm pretty sure I've had gonorrhea for a month. My husband and I still want more kids, could this affect things for the future? also, I've been still getting the burning feeling when I pee. is that the infection coming out yet?
