I was diagnosed with rsd in my legs in 1991 @ Cleveland clinic. I had the cold nerve for left side removed. I had a stimulator implant and its been removed. 2 of my toes on my left foot are shiny and sting constantly doctors here in daytona beach dont know what to do for me. I take lyrica, fluoxetine, gabapentin, hydroco/apap, simvastatin, diazapam, prednisone, nitrostat, montelukast, and isosorb. I also have copd. and am currently having pain in my stomach which is distended and chest pain. was in hospital for a week but no answers. the rsd has everyone stumped. I recently read about a treatment using ketamine but have not tried it for fear of side effects. any methods of treatment for rsd and pain management would be appreciated. - Asked by d A on 10-Oct-2014 23:40:44

    Sorry for the pain you are enduring . You have already explored lot of treatment options . According to studies and case reports , Ketamine has helped some patients . It would be good idea to consult with a Pain specilaist regarding this.  As with any medication that you take , it has side effects. You have to decide along with treating doctor, if it a right medication for you or not .
