hello my name is Aubrey, I have a sore in my mouth on the inside of my bottom lip. it hurts to move my tongue around it to get rid of food that gets caught in my teeth. It's getting bigger.     Hello Aubrey,

    The sore you describe does seem to resemble a canker sore; and these are usually quite painful.

    You could try rinsing your mouth with plain water, to get rid of the food particles.

    Using a mouthwash or touching the sore with your tongue and pulling your lip will only worsen the pain.

     Small sores usually heal within 1 week but large sores may take up to 3 weeks to heal.

    It woud be best to consult your dentist if the sore gets bigger or hurts more; and to get a prescription for pain relief.
