Hi, based on your description - you might be having signs and symptoms of septic cavernous sinus thrombosis. It is a rare condition but can happen in situation similar to yours where there infection nose or upper lip area. It might also lead to vision disturbances or compression of the nerves supplying the face and eyes. This is an emergency condition and you need to go to ER or see your doctor immediately to get an MRI of the brain to rule this condition out. This may not be related to unprotected sex, although unprotected sex can put you at risk for sexually transmitted infections and you need to be screened for these if you have multiple sexual partners or if you partner has been recently diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections.
