Ask A Doctor - Tiny water bubbles on fingers - DesiMD Healthcare Services

I am having tiny water on fingers, which give me severe itching sensation. They come, stay for 3-4 days and vanish, after 2 days old skin peeps. When I search with Symptoms on Google I found it as Dyshidrosis. Is this a serious condition? what kind of medication should I take? This comes to me frequently. Should I use any special soap or hand wash? - Asked by V A on 05-May-2014 18:40:52

    Hello VA,

According to the description you gave , yes it looks like you have Dyshydrosis.. This is a type of eczema ,which can be due  to certain chemicals you are allergic to and never knew it, or may be associated with other allergic conditions like Asthma,Hay fever etc. This is not a serious condition but you need to watch for the allergic chemicals you are exposed to and try to avoid them. There are no serious complications as such except for bacterial infections due to intense itching. Treatment varies depending on the severity of the condition from simple avoidance of allergens to usage of steroid cream. This is just a suggestion, not a diagnosis from DesiMD and would suggest you to visit a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis. DesiMD team will help you fix an appointment with the specialist in your area if you wish to.

Hope for the best and keep good,

    Many Thanks,

    Dr Sridhar Ginjupalli.
