Sir, I am suffering from ulcer for past 10 years and I took allopathy medicine after abdomen scanning.After 3 Months again scanning it was observed old wounds were clearing and new were coming.The doctor taken biopsy and found negative for cancer.But I am suffering even after so many years in spite of taking homeo medicine all these days.Some days it is in control and some days heavy burning pain in late nights in the stomach.Weight is neither increased nor decreased i.e 84 kgs and age is 55 years now.When I take heat generating foods I am suffering with piles and the problems are further intensified.Motion is hard and no free motion in the morning.I don't have any other habits like drinking,smoking etc.Recently I got shoulder pain and tests are taken and Drs found 80% fatty liver.Homeo medicines are continuing and the relief is not much.Kindly advise me to proceed further. - Asked by S N on 13-Jun-2014 22:28:34

    Usually, a CT scan or an abdominal ultrasound can't diagnose gastric ulcers very well. So, I am not very sure which 'scan' was done. Endoscopy does provide the diagnosis. I am also unclear as to what medications you have been taking for the above-mentioned problem and what other medications you take daily (as some medications can cause gastritis). Since you are 55 years old, you must have undergone a screening Colonoscopy by now. If not, it may be time for one.
