Recent abstract shows that there is a increased risk of kidney injury when vancomycin is used in combination with zosyn

Also in a recent study published in JAMA, in elderly people taking amlodipine (calcium channel blocker for blood pressure) concurrent administration of clarithromycin (macrolide) has slightly increased risk of acute kidney injury due to inhibition of CYP3A4. Azithromycin (another macrolide) doesnt cause it as it doesnt inhibit CYP3A4
