Dear friends,

I borrowed the phrase from my Toastmasters Club. It means participate and it will make a difference in your life. But I say that make a difference in some ones life and that will make a difference in your life. My mother use to say, “It is in giving that we receive” Thus every one wins including your self. So “Make a difference” is a theme for our annual meeting.

We are physicians. Our hallmark is compassion and service. There are tremendous opportunities for us here and overseas. We can give Money, Equipments, Clothes and Our time. We can teach and share the knowledge. Give medical and surgical help to the needy people. Medical and surgical camps are organized by many charitable organizations here and in India. We can participate in these activities to make a difference.

You are going to hear from three out standing charitable organization today. Bidada medical - surgical camp is one. I had a personal experience of working as an anesthesiologist for a week two years ago. It was most satisfying week of my professional life. I will never forget four-year-old girl. Thanking me with a smile following congenital cataract surgery.

Share and Care foundation based in New Jersey, is doing our standing work in USA and in India. Their president Dr.Ashwin Desai is going to tell us about the opportunities available for us.

Finally our keynote speaker Ms.Sonal Shah. founder of Indicorps will enlighten us about her project. Indicorps is making a big difference in many lives.
