Our Mission and Vision.
Connecticut Association of Physicians of Indian Origin ( CAPI )..
Is a central forum physician of Indian Origin in the state of Connecticut whereby information of common interest among the members may be shared.
- Promote improvement of the standards of practice through educational programs.
- Our members, resident physicans, medical students and guest speaker have participated in our annual CME program.
- Help members successfully integrate with American Medicine and maintain a close liaison with local, national and international medical societies and organizations.
Help in the start up of a new physician's practice participate in AAPI activities. Our voice at a national level.
- Provide support (tapping into the depth of the organization) when a physician is faced with an inappropriate charge or is discriminated against.
- A tradition of recognizing outstanding achievements by CAPI members, their spouse and children.
- Merit awards for medical students from Yale and Uconn on the recommendation from the respective schools.
- Establish an endowment fund awarding need base scholarships to medical and dental students.

In the process of establishing mentorship program for medical students and residents.

Participating in charity work, both in America and in India .
- Periodic newsletter to keep members informed and connected thru educational, recognition, and social activities we attempt to “network the physician community.”
