Smoking hookah, (a type of flavoured tobacco) increases exposure to benzene (a toxic element found in tobacco and charcoal, highly carcinogenic) which can lead to leukemia. Hookah smoke doubles the exposure to the carcinogen benzene, which is responsible for several types of deadly cancers, including leukemia.
